Elementary Program (Grades K–6)
Location: Cole R-I Elementary
Focus: Enrichment & Remediation
Building on the success of last year’s model, the Elementary program will continue its S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) focus while embedding targeted small-group interventions in reading and math.
Highlights include:
-
Daily special classes
-
A “Field Trip Finale” to celebrate learning
-
After-school childcare available at minimal cost
This balanced approach allows us to both accelerate learning and provide meaningful support where students need it most.
High School Program (Grades 7–12)
Location: High School Building
Focus: Credit Recovery / Remediation Only
Unlike last summer, current academic data indicates a need to reintroduce a structured credit recovery program. The 2026 plan focuses strictly on remediation to ensure students remain on track for graduation.
The format will provide intensive course completion and credit recovery opportunities to prevent credit deficiencies and support long-term student success.
This approved plan reflects our continued commitment to meeting students where they are—supporting retention at the secondary level and sustaining strong academic engagement at the elementary level. Summer school remains an important extension of our mission to help every student succeed.
