Meet our Elementary Principal
I am currently serving as the elementary school principal for the Cole County R-1 School District. It has been my honor to be in this position for eight years. Prior to becoming principal, I worked in the district as both a kindergarten teacher and librarian. A lot has changed in the 24 years I have been within the district but it has been exciting to work through the changes to do what is best for our students and teachers.
This is the beginning of my 24th year in education all of which has been within the Cole County R-1 School District. In the fall of 2000, I was hired to teach kindergarten where I happily did so for nine years and then moved to the library for seven years. My final move has been to the role of serving as elementary principal.
I have a Specialist in School Administration, Master in School Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. My extra certifications include: Early Childhood Education and Library/Media Specialist.
My husband Tim and I live in the Lohman/St. Martins area with our three children Elizabeth 21, Grace 18 and Brady 12. My husband Tim is the Golf Course Superintendent at the Jefferson City Country Club, so he is busy as well. Our family also helps to operate my husband’s family farm raising livestock. During the summer you will find us at both the local county fairs as well as the Missouri State Fair exhibiting our livestock. We joke that this is our version of a beach vacation. I am looking forward to an exciting school year.
