Proposition K.I.D.S
The Cole County R-1 School Board of Education is proposing Proposition K.I.D.S. on the Nov. 8, 2022 ballot. If approved, the district will borrow $5 million in bond funding without requesting an estimated increase in the current debt service property tax levy to make improvements to our school. The school board and administration have determined the highest priority projects are to construct eight additional classrooms; repair the corridor to the ag building; and repair leaks to the gymnasium in the junior/high school building; as well as improve the playground and utilities in the elementary building.
